The MV/32 gives you more of what you want in a charter yacht - room comfort, security - and less of what you don't want - rocking, rolling and the ever-pricier stops at the fuel dock. MV/32 packs an astonishing amount of room into its 32 feet because the catamaran form carries generous 17 feet of beam well forward and well aft. For instance, you'll find a very workable, well equipped galley, a dining table that welcomes six adults and a nave station lying athwartships, rather than fore-and-aft. It's a layout that not only creates a lot of space, it creates a lot of people sized space you can use and enjoy. The head and shower have room for a good wash and - remarkable - the two staterooms give you room to stretch out on real queen-size mattresses (while you're testing those mattresses, note the great view through the stern hatches). The MV/32 is just as much a revelation underway as dockside. While the MV/32's beam overall is more than 50 percent greater than a trawler of comparable length, the hulls themselves are slim at the waterline. The combination of slim halls widely separated by a high bridge deck yields many benefits. First, the ride is extraordinarily easy on he crew. Rolling is all but non-existent and since the slim hulls tend to slip through waves, pitching is dampened to a comfortable motion. Smaller engines don't need tons of fuel or a ton of support structure, which keeps your performance advantage. Note however, that you're not force into the standard economy compromise of a single engine; the MV/32 gives you economy plus the safety margin of a second engine. |
